We believe that masterplanning is properly a fluid, collaborative, multi-disciplinary process that starts
from a sound appreciation of site and place. As landscape architects we understand site appraisal and look
to prepare a 'layered' evaluation which structures the basis for concept masterplanning, or development framework,
through to a final Masterplan layout.
The steps in the Masterplanning process are essential and various and need to be contrived to test
and draw out the issues and opportunities. Our final Masterplans can be detailed and measurable or
remain 'loose' and conceptual, as appropriate, but will be backed-up with the supporting evidence of the
approach or the 'workings' as well as illustrative and more detailed examples of the various component
parts of the scheme, or the 'building blocks'. High quality presentation is an essential part of the
effective communication of Masterplans.
